Anyway...
Friday night I got home from work and Ryan was asleep. I thought I'd let him relax while and nap so I started playing the wii. Then I ate some leftovers. Then I realized it was midnight and I was playing Mario for nearly seven hours and my husband was still asleep! At this point, I give up and go to bed.
The next morning Ryan went grocery shopping and I started to clean the apartment. When he got home he helped but then I had a very special lunch date...
With Holly from Semper Fi to Apple Pie and one of my blogging besties Kaylee from Devil Dog Darling! I was a little nervous, and got there maybe half an hour early in my determination to not be late, but it was a lot of fun. We had a lot of great conversations (and some pretty good food) and I really enjoyed being able to hanf out with some fellow bloggers and milspouses. I hope we can do it again soon. Looking at the picture we all realized we're the like Blonde Contingent of the Marine Wives of Virginia Bloggers Association or something... :P
After lunch I headed home and Ryan and I started to talk about our fight. Then we gave up for a bit and just played wii! Once we got hungry we decided to go out to dinner and since we had not been out for a "nice" dinner with just the two of us in awhile we went to the Chart House.
We had a great seafood dinner and talked about things with good food and good wine. It helped, we reached an agreement of sorts. We shared some delicious calamari, I had some yummy parmesean snapper (Ryan had some prime rib so rare I swear it was still mooing...) and spit a hot chocolate lava cake with heath bar crunch ice cream that takes half an hour to make for dessert.
Yum.
We came home and played some more wii (seeing a trend here?) and went to bed. Sunday was a lazy day. Ryan made breakfast and we curled up on the couch and watched some Blue Collar Comedy tour and Jeff Dunham. We then tried to drive and find our new church, got lost and were so late to mass we decided to skip it (too rude to walk in so late)! Instead after we found it (so we know for next week) we went and had dinner at Hops (aaaaamazing honey croissants!) and saw Tangled. Oh Disney, you make me laugh and you make me cry... I approve. I was shocked Ryan was willing to see it with me, but hey, I'll take it!
When we got home we watched Charade, one of my favorite Audrey Hepburn movies, and now Ryan FINALLY knows who she is. *sigh*
Lots of movies and wii and food.... good weekend indeed.
