My Baby Brother!

I am the proud big sister to a full fledged teenager. My baby brother has turned 14!! I cannot believe it. We have quite the age gap, but he is totally my little buddy. I love this kid to pieces! Naturally we fight like crazy, but I miss having him around and bugging the bejeezus out of me. I remember life before he was born. Scary huh? Now he is a teen. Next year he will be in high school, probably in North Carolina. Soon he will be taller than me (I still just barely have him, maybe by a hair!)and lord knows he is way stronger than me. My mom always calls us her positive and negative children, her blonde haired blue eyed pale daughter with her brown haired brown eyed tan son! We were both born five days early, on a Tuesday, during a full moon while it was raining... weird huh?

Plus 13 is my brother's lucky number.
12 (December) + 1 (first, the day) = 13
He was born at 13:13 military time
He is the 13th grandchild on my mom's side
And I think my mom's hospital room had a 13 in it...!

My brother has a huge heart. He is one of the sweetest and kindest kids. I was a dork when I was younger, I had my times I ate lunch alone... he is the kid who seeks out the loners at lunch and eats with them so they don't eat alone. He tries to include everyone. The kid is darn good too, I remember when I came out in my prom dress senior year, he was all of seven years old and looked at me and went, "Wow Allie. You look so beautiful." And he hasn't changed.

There are pictures of him and I at my wedding dancing to "You've Got a Friend" and the poor kid had tears streaming down his face. I asked him what was wrong, getting choked up myself and he said, "I'm just going to miss you. Don't worry, half of these tears are just hormones anyway!" Did I mention Stef is hilarious too? He idolizes Ryan, and Ryan said he would take Stefan (trained of course) at his side in battle any day... a huge compliment.

My brother can shoot a squirrel through the eye with a plastic bow and arrow without batting an eye. He can run faster than hell. He plays soccer, baseball, and is a junior black belt in tae kwon do. He breaks boards as easy as blinking. Hopefully he will have his black belt this spring and plans on a huge party to celebrate it.

Stefan is also severely dyslexic and dysgraphic but he just won the rotary essay student of the month competition. He had to write an essay about what he wanted to be when he grew up and his was chosen out of all the eighth graders to be honored with a special breakfast.

I am ridiculously proud of my baby brother and I love him dearly. Happy Birthday Little Brother. I love you! Sto Lat and Chentani! Many many many more to come (:
