My mom started a blog! My mom!!! Yes I know she reads this so don't get all huffy mom, I am just having one of those shocked moments like I had when you joined facebook. Anyway, for you curious people who want to read along...
http://churchladyandmom.blogspot.com/
She is doing a mother and the bride sort of thing with her blog and I am curious to see where she goes with it!
Ryan and I are still looking for apartments and have some that we like in our budget. Let's see where that goes.
I worked on our wedding invitations today, I had some offers from friends to make them but with our budget and time ordering them may just be easier. Which is a shame. So we're back to the original design I found a month ago. I am still floundering for transportation in budget. And I have to get the flowers at some point too.
Work at the pharmacy again tomorrow, 10am. Go figure the position I applied for at my friend Sara's job (the publishing company, they filled the job right before getting my resume), well the person who got it bailed. It is Mon-Fri 8-4:30 or 9-5 at $13.50 an hour! Double my hours and probably salary at the pharmacy. Ugh. ONE day! If I had known just ONE day. But they're going to call me for an interview anyway. So I will tell them my fiance got orders and I am moving in May... do you still want me for three months? If they want me to interview then I will go from there. I can't leave the pharmacy in a lurch, I accepted the job and that is that.
I had my test today for my stomach, a gastric emptying test. Basically I couldn't eat til 1pm, and when I did it was radioactive scrambled eggs that tasted like metal. Then I laid on a slab and had an xray on my chest and couldn't move. For two hours. So there was no tv, I couldn't read, no watch, and my ipod was too loud and once the test started I couldn't move. Towards the end I had to pee, my arms and legs were numb, I was cold, and I had a crick in my neck on top of being horribly nauseous and crampy. But they gave me a $3 gift card for the hospital cafe (woohoo pizza bagel) and a card I need to carry around for the next month saying I am radioactive. The next 48 hours are the worst but it lingers, so if I travel or go anywhere with security I have to show that.
Ok, I am exhausted, going to bed now.

Promotion
Ryan told me last night he qualified to be promoted to Corporal!!!!! I am so excited for him. He has been a LCpL for a long time because he got himself in trouble (*cough*twice*cough*) awhile ago. Once was before I met him and the other was shortly thereafter, but he finally made it back up to where he should be! As of February 1st he is my Cpl (: Congratulations Sweetie!

Save the date!
I ordered these magnets today.... kind of excited (:

I have an interview tomorrow at RV Pharmacy (for front of store stuff) and possible TRAINING after! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Oh, and I got an email saying my wedding gown was in (like 3 months early!) so once I have a works schedule my butt will be in alterations. Shame, no dieting or working out has occurred yet. *sigh*

Oh Geeze....
I really really need a job.
I sent about ten resumes in to jobs off Craig's List today.
Went back and reapplied at Kohls.
Tried AAA, Liberty Travel, Protege, Macy*s, Baker & Taylor, and others.
Still nothing.
God this is awful.
Ryan cannot come up until next weekend and most of my friends aren't in NJ anymore... so living at home is sort of feeling a little suffocating at the moment. Yes I am planning a wedding, but I am still so damn lonely it sucks.

Home
So I have been home for about a week now. It is so weird being back again. I am desperately trying to find a job. I have put a lot of applications in everywhere and so far no one has gotten back to me. It is extremely frustrating. Tomorrow I am biting the bullet and going back to Kohls (ugh) to see if they are hiring. I worked there throughout high school and part of college and I really hated it, but I need money so back I go. I have applied at three travel agencies, an HR position at Protege, Borders, and I tried Macy*s and they aren't even hiring again until mid-March! I also tried through a friend to get a job at a publishing/distributing company she works for Baker & Taylor and I haven't heard back from them either. So like I said, back to Kohl's I go.
Ryan was here all weekend, the definite perk to living back at home. He can drive up and see me most weekends which I love! We solidified our reception venue (http://www.grandcolonialnj.com) and the church since we met with Father Tom officially on Sunday. He even blessed our engagement and my ring. He also encouraged us to get civially married SOON so I can get enrolled in DEERS and TriCare and in the system...plus an extra month or two of BAH will only help us find a place come May! We also went to Macy*s and worked some more on our registry. I love our china we picked out, let's hope someone nice gets it for us!
My Babci and Poppy also gave us their hope chest... it is 63 years old, as old as their marriage, and they are passing it down to me. With a knife set. I was so touched! It is cedar with green velvet lining the little shelf on top, it is so wonderful.
My parents went to North Carolina yesterday to close the sale on the new house (which is where Ryan and I more than likely will spend our honeymoon!). They don't plan on moving until Stefan fiishes 8th grade, so next year, but they are basically ready and starting to move stuff down. Which means Stefan, the dog, and I are alone until Thursday. I am in charge. Dear Lord help me!!! I have to get an adolescent up for school at 7am!
And find a job.
Oh! Ryan and I went to the doctor up here for me today. MUCH better guy. He named three posibilities that could be what is wrong that the other doctor never even mentioned. He also told me to stop taking that damn horse pill four times a day because "It is crap and doesn't work anyway." I like this guy. I am going to get another test done this week maybe and we will go from there.
Wish me luck!!!

COLD!
Who decided my last week in Florida would be absolutely freezing? Can I write a formal complaint to Mother Nature??? I mean, I think it is different being cold here. When it is cold in January in New Jersey or DC you expect it. That's how it should be. But in Central Florida? No way. It is a damp, terrible cold. We've been in the upper 30s in the day and upper 20s at night. It is crazy. Little girls are wearing jeans under their princess dresses with huge winter coats and hats over them! People are wearing the layers they wore to the airport in the parks because it is so damn cold.
It won't warm up again until next week. When I am gone. Fail.
The warmest day this week will be my last day in Florida. And it is supposed to rain. Joy.
The parking lot in Chatham, my apartment complex, is empty. Most people moved out and the new people aren't moved in yet. Chloe is gone, Amanda is almost gone, Kayla and I are all that are left in good ol' 29302.
Tomorrow is my last day of work. I cannot believe how quickly this has come. It seems like I just got here and I am getting ready to leave. Of course I haven't started packing yet!
Went back to the doctor this morning, last time here. I got my file to take with me as they haven't helped me much. I take six pills a day and I am still sick! I know now also that it is not celiac's disease, an ulcer, hernia, cancer, and my gallbladder appears to be functioning. Ugh. This is so frustrating.
I cannot wait to see Ryan this Saturday. Then I have to find a job in NJ as no one has gotten back to me. Eek!

Hmm...
*pokes*
Is thing still on? Are people out there? Is there an echo?
Ah well I'll just keep going.
Last night and today was the first round of goodbyes. Patrick, Don, and Karli are all gone. Needless to say I bawled my eyes out saying goodbye to them. I never expected the people I would meet here would have such an impact on my life... to the point where one of them is going to be a bridesmaid in my wedding! So much has changed since August it is enough to make my head spin.
So, now it is time for another inside scoop. The subject... New Year's Eve at Disney.
My honest advice. NEVER EVER COME TO EPCOT OR MAGIC KINGDOM FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE EVER!!!!!
Unless you want to stand shoulder to shoulder with 83,999 other people and wait in a five hour line for Soarin' do not do it. Magic Kingdom was at capacity by 10am. At 6pm they let in 500 more people as some had left. EPCOT reached 84,000 people.
I was on fireworks duty which is like Illuminations on crack/speed/heroin all together at once. SO many people. We had to keep the walkways moving and once the front was full we kept people out. If you had to use the restroom you got a red ticket to come back to your spot. I had a red lightsaber to move people along and too many times I was tempted to hit people on the head with it. I was cursed at in 3 languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese), called a bitch a slut and a whore, told to fuck off or fuck you.... I have never imagined people could be like that. I was in NYC last year for NYE and it was fun! Pleasant even! This was HELL.
I had one woman from Brazil I would not let in to the front area since it was FULL and he called me those names and proceeded to mock me every time I spoke. I threatened to call security and she was like, "I don't understand." And I snapped, "SECURIDAD. POLIZIA. You understand. Shut up and move away!"
She didn't.
Jenny (who I have become a lot closer with) and I decided we were not Jenny and Allie. We were Jennifer and Allison after the first fireworks show. The gloves came on and the bitch came out! The 7:30 fireworks was regular Illuminations and it was the most hellish. By 11:40, the NYE show, we had a system and it was a little bit better. The finale at midnight was awesome though. I literally felt the shockwave of the fireworks nearly knock me down! And each country around the world show case let off a different set of fireworks and said Happy New Year in their language.
I found this on youtube if you all want to watch! I had my camera and tried to film the finale, I took lots of pictures, but my battery died halfway through the finale! I was mad as hell. Especially when it came back on to take pictures later when we all danced on the fountain and led a couple thousand people in the Cupid Shuffle. Hey, the DJ told us to!
Pictures will follow. Happy New Year readers!
